Education
In 2010, he graduated from the National Medical University named after O.O. Bogomolets and received a higher education in the specialty “Medicine” and obtained the qualification of a doctor.
From August 2010 to August 2012, he underwent an internship at the State Institution “Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine” and upon graduation received a certificate of a specialist doctor in the specialty of orthopedics and traumatology.
In 2017, he defended his PhD thesis on the topic “Hip joint replacement in patients with Crowe dysplasia type III, IV”. Internship in leading clinics in the Czech Republic, Ireland, Spain, Italy in the field of single-joint replacement.
Work experience
Dmytro Mykhailovych Poluliakh, a doctor of orthopedic traumatology of the highest category, Candidate of Medical Sciences, has been the head of the clinic of joint diseases in adults at the Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine since 2022.
The doctor has experience consisting of 15 years of surgical practice, has performed more than 2,000 operations (including extremely complex ones and for military patients), and has more than 50 scientific publications. His credo: movement is life!
In 2012, he was selected through a competition for the position of junior research fellow in the Department of Joint Diseases in Adults at the State Educational Institution “Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine”.
Since 2012, he has participated in many scientific and practical conferences, congresses, congresses, has 18 reports and over 50 publications in professional publications, 9 patents.
In 2013, he completed osteosynthesis courses – Principles in Operative Fracture Management. Since 2016, he has been a member of the society “Kyiv Branch of the All-Ukrainian Public Organization “Ukrainian Association of Orthopedists and Traumatologists”. He completed the TU “Arthroscopy of the Knee and Shoulder Joint”. In 2016, he was elected Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists of the State Institution "Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine".
Since 2017, he has been a member of the Academic Council of the State Institution "Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine".
Dmytro Mykhailovych Polulyakh is the author of methods for hip replacement in patients with severe types of dysplasia and hip dislocations.
