What Determines the Price

The full price list is placed above on this page. A dermatovenereologist consultation costs 1200 UAH. Removal of growths starts from 300 UAH for one small lesion.

The cost of removal depends on the size and number of lesions, as well as on the method. If there are five or more papillomas in one area, it is cheaper to choose the zone-based rate than to pay for each lesion separately.

How a Dermatovenereologist Consultation Works

1. The doctor asks about your complaints: when the changes appeared, what makes them worse, what products you have already used, and whether you have allergies and chronic conditions.
2. Examines the skin, nails, hair and, if necessary, mucous membranes.
3. If indicated, performs digital dermoscopy of skin growths or prescribes tests.
4. Explains the diagnosis, draws up a treatment plan and, if needed, offers removal of the growth.

To make the examination more accurate:

• do not apply decorative cosmetics to problem areas on the day of the appointment;
• do not treat rashes with ointments before the visit;
• bring a list of the medications you take and any previous reports or test results.

Digital Mole Dermoscopy

Dermoscopy is an examination of a skin growth under magnification with special lighting. The doctor can see the structure of pigment and blood vessels, which cannot be assessed with the naked eye.

Removal of Papillomas, Warts and Angiomas

Before any removal, the doctor examines the growth and makes sure that it is benign and can be removed by the chosen method. HBMedical uses two methods.

The radiofrequency method is used for small lesions up to 2 mm: papillomas and molluscum contagiosum. The radiofrequency knife acts precisely on the tissue without affecting the surrounding skin.

The electrosurgical method is used for papillomas, spider veins and angiomas of various sizes, warts and nevi. High-frequency electric current removes the growth and seals small vessels at the same time, so bleeding is minimal.

The procedure takes a few minutes and is performed on an outpatient basis. The doctor will tell you about pain relief before the procedure.

Nevus (Mole) Removal

Mole removal costs 800 UAH. It is possible only after an examination and dermoscopy.

A nevus with features that call for histological examination is not destroyed but removed in a way that allows the tissue to be examined under a microscope. The HBMedical doctor performs diagnostic sampling of biological material: shave biopsy and punch biopsy.

Do not have moles removed in beauty salons and do not try to remove them yourself. If the growth is malignant, this can make diagnosis more difficult.

Aftercare after Removal of Growths

A crust forms at the removal site, which usually falls off on its own. To make sure healing goes without complications:

• do not pick off the crust;
• treat the area as your doctor recommended;
• do not steam the skin in a sauna or bathhouse until the wound has healed;
• protect the area from the sun so that a pigmented spot does not remain in its place.

Venereologist Appointment

A venereology appointment costs 700 UAH. You should see a venereologist if you have:

• discharge, burning or itching in the genital area;
• rashes, ulcers or wart-like growths on the genitals;
• concern after unprotected sexual contact;
• the need for an examination before planning a pregnancy or with a new partner.
